METHOD FOR PROVIDING CHANNEL PER SUBSCRIBER IN DIGITAL BROADCASTING SERVICE

PURPOSE: A method for providing channels per subscriber in a digital broadcasting service is provided to reduce the amount of information to transmit via a transmission line for the supply of digital broadcasting service to subscribers, thereby reducing the transmission bandwidth allocated to the subscribers and improving the transmission speed. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing channels per subscriber in a digital broadcasting service includes the steps of sensing the connection of a subscriber's device in a headend according to a signal for requesting the reception of broadcasting(400), and searching a subscriber's database by subscriber's information included in the signal to read channel information(402). Broadcasting channel signals are transmitted to the subscriber's device according to the read channel information(404). If a signal for updating the subscriber's database is received, the subscriber's database is updated by storing newly received channel information to the database(406,408). Broadcasting channel signals according to the updated database are transmitted to the subscriber's device(410).
