PURPOSE: A protecting apparatus for a driver is provided to prevent a clutch pedal arm and a clutch pedal from being contacted to the leg of the driver, and to protect the driver safely by breaking a push rod and turning the clutch pedal arm forward when a master cylinder and the push rod are pushed inward at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A driver protecting apparatus is composed of a push rod(20) having a longitudinal slot(23a), and a push rod break stick(30) inserted to the slot with moving and hinge-combined with a dash panel mounting bracket(3) installed in the lower part of the push rod to break the slot area of the push rod by rotating unidirectionally around the hinge when a master cylinder and the push rod are pushed inward by impact at a collision. The push rod is broken, and a clutch pedal arm(12) is turned forward by tare. Therefore, the driver is protected safely by preventing the clutch pedal arm and the clutch pedal from being contacted to the leg of the driver.
