A process and assembly (12) evaporates, heats and especially overheats a liquid or gaseous reactant. The assembly housing (12) with a heat exchanger (14) having a number of passages separated by heating passages (16). The reactant is introduced via lance (18) and is introduced through a passage (17). Super-heated gas is released via an outlet (22). Especially, both the passage (17) and/or the heated passages (16) have a first zone with a relatively low resistance to fluid flow, and a second zone with a relatively high resistance to fluid flow. |
