<p>A reversible pivoting vane rotary compressor includes a housing (130), and a rotor (140) mounted eccentrically within a chamber (114) to define a cresent shaped compression chamber. A pair of reversible intake and exhaust ports are connected to the compression chamber. At least one adjoining pair of curved vanes (170 a-h) are pivotally attached to the rotor and extend in generally opposite arcuate directions. A motor is provided for rotatably driving the rotor alternately in opposing first and second directions. The compressed air is provided to an oxygen concentrator (10).</p> |
