<p>Fire-resistant material (I) made from waste products for use in furniture construction and building, containing, as base component (A), lignite ash with residues from brown coal combustion and reinforcing components and, as binder (B), a combination of (b1) a polycondensation adhesive with a polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) dispersion and/or (b2) cement and PVAC dispersion, plus fire retardant additives. Also claimed is a process for the production of (I), by drying the processed base component to a moisture content of 8-20 wt%, adding reinforcing components, binder and additives, drying the mixture to a moisture content of 10-25 wt% and compression moulding in a hot press.</p> |
