PURPOSE: A rice chest having an automatic rice charge apparatus is provided to save trouble of a housewife and improve convenience by automatically transferring rice from a rice bag to the rice chest with an automatic suction unit. CONSTITUTION: A rice chest comprises a rice storage chamber(70) installed in the rice chest to store rice and composed of holes(75,77) formed in front and rear walls; a vacuum suction unit(50) installed between the rice storage chamber and the rear inner wall of the rice chest to suck air; a first suction pipe(30) extended vertically between the rice storage chamber and the front inner wall of the rice chest and inserted to the upper hole of the storage chamber; a second suction pipe(40) integrally connected to the vacuum suction unit, extended upward, and inserted to the hole of the upper wall of the rice storage chamber; a filter net(43) installed in the opening of the second suction pipe to prevent inflow of rice in sucking air; and a suction control switch installed in the side of the rice chest to turn on and off the vacuum suction unit and adjust suction force.
