PURPOSE: A shock absorbing guide rail is provided to minimize the loss of cars and lives by dissipating and absorbing impacts caused by a car crash. CONSTITUTION: The shock absorbing guide rail comprises the steps of assembling an assembly spring(16) with a support post(17) whose lower end is buried under the ground(1) and upper end is projected above the ground to be bendable at a car crash, forming flexible grooves(12) on the upper part of the median strip(2) to make the support post(17) inclined rightward and leftward, and fixing the support bar(13) made of synthetic resins to a center groove(21) of the flexible groove(12).
