The starter motor (RSG) receives electric current from a current converter (WR) fed from a control gate driver (BLDC Steuerung+Gatetreiber). The control gate driver receives the difference between rotor angle (Rotolage), signals and signals for angle control (WN) from a speed computing block (DB). There is also an optional excitation current control (ES) connected to the excitation winding (EW).
