PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to minimize the power consumption and increase the display quality by disposing two data lines adjacent to TFTs in the zig-zag form and driving a liquid crystal display panel by a data driver for column inversion. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes an LCD panel of which TFTs are disposed zig zag between adjacent two data lines, a gate driver for driving gate lines of the LCD panel, a data driver for driving the data lines, and a timing controller for controlling the gate and data drivers. In the TFT array, source electrodes(82,102) face vertically in concave parts, and an end of each of drain electrodes(83,103) is respectively inserted into the concave parts of the source electrodes to face the source electrodes. The concave parts of the source electrodes are in parallel to the data lines, so that the capacitance between the drain and source electrodes has almost no deviation even when a mask is not precisely aligned during forming the source and drain electrodes.
