<p>A velocity display device provides a display of the velocity of an object such as the head of a golf club. The velocity display device is in the form of a module (10, 11) for fitment into or onto the object. The module includes a display unit (13), an acceleration sensor and a micro-controller which receives signals from the acceleration sensor and, by means of an in-built algorithm, converts the signals which it receives to an output which determines the display provided by the display unit (13). The acceleration sensor and the micro-controller are mounted on a printed circuit board (14) contained within the module. The display is automatically reset to zero after a predetermined time, and returns to a 'sleep mode' automatically when the device is not in use.</p> |
