PURPOSE: Shift fork structure for a manual transmission is provided to prevent shift failure, and to extend the life span of the part by contacting both arms to the sleeve evenly with adjusting the thickness in shifting. CONSTITUTION: A shift fork for a manual transmission comprises a long arm portion(24a) and a short arm portion(24b), and applies operational force to a sleeve of a synchronized shifting mechanism in shifting. The thickness of the long arm portion is set to be more than the thickness of the short arm portion. Uneven wear is prevented by restricting uneven contact between the sleeve and the shift fork in shifting. Shifting quality is improved by contacting a clutch gear, a synchronizer ring and the sleeve actively with applying operational force when the long arm and the short arm are contacted to the sleeve simultaneously.
