The device for the connecting of a longitudinal drive shaft to the input shaft of a differential has a constant velocity joint (20) with a radially inner-lying joint hub (26) which by internal connecting teeth (40) fits on corresponding external teeth on the input shaft (14). A sealing ring (46) externally sealing the housing (12) of the differential (10) is provided between the housing and the input shaft. The joint hub is extended by an axially projecting hub section (38).
