PURPOSE: A structure for opening and closing a front panel of an air conditioner is provided to allow easy cleaning and replacement of an air filter. CONSTITUTION: A structure comprises a front panel(56) having an air filter(57) mounted on a front center thereof, and allowing air to be introduced and discharged; a suction panel(62) having a lower end connected to a front lower part of the front panel by a detachable hinge, and placed on the front center of the front panel to be opened and closed; a motor(64) placed on the front panel; and a link unit interlocked with the motor to rotate the suction panel, and supporting the front panel so that an upper end of the suction panel is placed in front of a front lower part of the front panel if the suction panel is separated from the front center of the front panel. The link unit comprises a first link(66) connected to a shaft(64a) of the motor; and a second link(67) having one end connected to the first link to rotate, and the other end connected to a rear side of the suction panel to rotate. The motors and the first links and the second links installed on both sides of a front suction hole(56b), respectively, to stably rotate and support both sides of the suction panel. |
