The fixing has a vertical support tube (7) with a fixing plate (8) for attaching to the ceiling provided at its top end and a horizontal plate (5) with an elastic clamp (4) for receiving the curtain rail (1) provided at its bottom end. The curtain rail and the vertical support tube have the same outer diameter, with the outer diameter of the curtain rail reduced where it fits into the elastic clamp for accommodating the latter, to provide a flush overall surface.
