The sliding rod (34) is connected to an actuator and is supported by two bearings (35). The bearings are fastened to the framework (15) for the solar cell system. Brackets (22,23) are fastened to the frame and have hooked ends engaging bolts (20,21) on opposite edges of the solar panel (10). Two struts extend from points near the center of the rod to points near the opposite edges of the panel. Longitudinal motion of the rod mover the panel laterally and engages the bolt on the trailing edge of the panel on its hook. The hook on the leading edge swings free and the leading strut pushes that edge up, thus tilting the panel.
