Pharmaceutical compositions containing cyclopamine enable the skin cells displaying inhibited cellular differentiation to overcome that inhibition. Such compositions are effective in treatment of diseases associated with impaired cellular differentiation. In tumors, induction of the differentiati on of tumor cells by cyclopamine is accompanied commonly by the apoptosis of tumor cells, adding thereby to the therapeutic effectiveness. Effectiveness of cyclopamine in the treatment of psoriasis, a common disease associated with the impairment of cellular differentiation is enhanced significantly by usin g compositions comprising of cyclopamine and a corticosteroid |
