Liquid injection syringe assembly and sheeth for this assembly

Liquid injection syringe comprises tubular body (12) forming reservoir and having needle (14) at distal end (12D), plunger (16) and tubular sheath (20) within which the body is mounted in active or protection positions. Liquid injection syringe comprises: (1) tubular body (12) forming reservoir for liquid and having injection needle (14) mounted at distal end (12D); (2) plunger (16) moveably mounted axially in the body between beginning and finishing injecting positions; and (3) tubular sheath (20) within which the body is moveably mounted axially between an active position in which the needle protrudes from a distal end (20D) of the sheath, or a protection position in which the needle is hidden within the sheath. The syringe comprises a locking mechanism (34, 38D, 38P) which locks the plunger and the sheath in a position which allows the positioning of the body in its protection position and the positioning of the plunger in its end of injection position, relative to the sheath. An Independent claim is also included for the tubular sheath comprising the locking mechanism.
