The device has a metal membrane (4), a circuit board (5) with a flat coil (6) made of a conducting track for measuring the distance between the membrane and the flat coil, whereby the flat coil is on a side of the circuit board facing the membrane, and a housing (3) with an opening (8) via which the membrane can be subjected to a force. The housing and circuit board have bores (9,10) so that an ambient pressure exists on both sides of the membrane.
