<p>1321560 Hair dyeing PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 9 Nov 1971 [9 Nov 1970] 51979/71 Heading D1B Hair is dyed by contacting it with an aqueous solution of from 0.01 ppm to 500 ppm of a peroxidase enzyme, from 0.01% to 1% by weight of hydrogen peroxide and from 0.001% to 6% by weight of an aromatic compound which is a primary oxidation dye precursor as defined optionally in presence of a secondary oxidation dye precursor as defined. The pH of the solution being 4 to 10. Preferably the hair is contacted with the hydrogen peroxide and oxidation dye precursor before the enzyme is added, preferred enzymes being NAD peroxidase, NAD peroxidase, fatty acid peroxidase, cytochrome peroxidase, horseradish peroxidase, soyabean peroxidase, iodinase and glutathione peroxidase. Hair colouring kits comprise individually packaged oxidizing component comprising aqueous hydrogen peroxide and individually packaged oxidation dye component mixed with the required enzyme.</p> |
