Separating arrangement (50) for a device for packing small objects (54) comprises a separating disk (60) rotating about an axis of rotation (61), and a removing wheel (70) rotating about an axis of rotation (71). A number of removing units (73) each having at least two gripper levers (75, 76) pivoting about a gripper lever axis are arranged on the removing wheel. The gripper levers have on their free ends a gripper jaw for holding the object. The distance between the gripper jaw and the gripper lever axis of the individual gripper levers is different. An Independent claim is also included for a process for separating small objects.
