A cathode-ray tube (1) has a face surface, a projection lens (2) disposed ahead of the face surface, a container (4) disposed between the face surface and projection lens (2), a first sealing member (5) disposed between the container and face surface, a second sealing member (6) disposed between the container (4) and projection lens (2), and liquid filling up the region enclosed by the container, face surface and projection lens.
