In a first aspect, the present invention relates organomodified silicones having substituents comprising oxygen, such that the oxygen content of the substituents is from 1% to 10% of the weight of the functionalized silicone and the content of the silicone backbone is from 67 to 95% by weight. In a further aspect, the invention relates to topical compositions comprising these organomodified silicones which deposit on a variety of fibers, especially hair, of differing levels of damage. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a hair treatment kit comprising the topical compositions.
