The method involves measuring the temperature of the outer wall using a temperature measurement device (6) applied to the outer wall (2) of the dual wall container (1) or line. If the temperature on the outer wall deviates from a set and/or adjustable temperature value a signal is generated. The temperature at the outer wall can be compared with a second measured temperature value. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for monitoring the vacuum in dual wall containers and lines.
