A device for producing a metal powder comprises a heated crucible (1), a mouthpiece (5) in the base region (8) with a melting nozzle for forming a molten jet (17), an inert gas supply for the crucible, and inert gas nozzles (14) for introducing inert gas to the molten jet and for atomizing it. The crucible is heated in the region of the mouthpiece by a heater, preferably a gas burner (12). An Independent claim is also included for the production of a metal powder using the above device. |
