Device for stacking small objects (4) comprises a rotating transfer head (30) on which a number of object-receiving units (40) are rotatably arranged, and a stacking belt conveyor (60) located downstream of the transfer head with a rotating stacking belt (61) for holding in groups the objects individually transferred by the transfer head. A rotating pressing device (50) presses the objects on the stacking belt conveyor during transfer from the object-receiving unit. An Independent claim is also included for a process for stacking small objects. Preferred Features: Each object-receiving unit has a pivoting part (41) hinged on the transfer head so that it rotates about an axis of rotation (42) parallel to the axis of rotation (31) of the transfer head.
