摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce driving force for moving an X-ray source while preventing the distortion of an image by reducing the vibration of the X-ray source. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging system includes an X-ray source 3 adapted to move in an arc shaped path, and a stational electronic X-ray detector 9. The system also includes tracks 5, 35, 45, and mechanical driving mechanisms 7, 27 adapted to move the X-ray source in the arc shaped path. A tomosynthesis X-ray imaging method includes a process for mechanically moving the X-ray source 3 in a stepped motion on an arc shaped path around an object using the tracks 5, 35, 45, and a process for irradiating the object with an X-ray dose from the X-ray source located at a plurality of steps along the arc shaped path. The method also includes a process for detecting the X-rays transmitted through the object with the electronic X-ray detector 9, and a process for constructing a three-dimensional image of the object from a signal outputted by the electronic X-ray detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
