PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VICS-compatible outer mirror device capable of providing a blinker function, maintaining the original function of a light beacon transmitting/receiving part, and maintaining the attractiveness of an outer mirror. SOLUTION: Light diffusion window parts 2B1 and light beacon transmission window parts 2B2 are continuously formed in a mirror body 2, a single translucent cover is fitted there. Lit light from light emitting diodes flashing interlocking with the winker operation of a car is visible from the front of the mirror body 2 through the light diffusion part 4A of the translucent cover 4 fitted to the light diffusion window part 2B1. Also, since the lit light is passed through the light beacon transmission part 4B of the translucent cover 4 fitted to the light beacon transmission window part 2B2, VICS signals are surely transmitted and received between the light beacon transmission and receiving part of a road traffic information communication system and a light beacon transmission and receiving part incorporated in the outer mirror.
