AN INTERLAYER FILM AND LAMINATED GLASS USING THE SAME

A novel interlayer film is provided herein. The film comprises up to 10 0 parts by weight of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetat e content of 5 to 50 wt%, and/or up to 100 parts by weight of an ethylene- alkyl(meth)acrylate copolymer having an alkyl(meth)acrylate content of 5 to 50 wt%. The film als o includes 0.01 to 4 parts by weight of a transparency-improvement agent. Such transparency-improvement agent may be a condensation reaction product of polyhydric alcohol (5 to 12-hydric) and twice as many equivalents of benzaldehyde, or its derivative, or it may be a calixarene compound represented by Formula (II) Finally, it contains 0.01 to 4 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent which contains at least one type of an amino group, a glycidyl group and a mercapto group. Laminated glass may be formed by laminating such interlayer film between t wo transparent plates, e.g., glass plates, or synthetic resin plates.
