PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumption of a cleaning liquid when cleaning an electric precipitator. SOLUTION: The wet one-stage type electric precipitator 9 has a discharge electrode 4 for negative charging dust particles contained in a soot-containing dust gas Gs and a dust collection electrode 3 for collecting the charged soot- containing dust gas Gs. The dust collection electrode 3 is arranged parallel to the flow direction of the soot-containing dust gas Gs and the discharge electrode 4 is provided in opposed relation to the dust collection electrode 3. Further, a nozzle 12 for spraying the cleaning liquid in order to clean the dust collection electrode 3 is provided to the upper part in a casing 1. A hydrophilic substance and a conductive substance are supported at least on the surface of a counter electrode 40 of the above charging part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
