PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier directly connected to a faucet for enabling a user to select a mode for discharging the water in the water purifier in stopping using the water purifier and a mode for holding the water in the water purifier in stopping using the water purifier in accordance with his/her needs. SOLUTION: In this water purifier provided with a drain valve 40 on the ceiling 29 of a filter medium container 26 to remove raw water of service water remaining in the filter medium container 26 in stopping using the water purifier, the drain value 40 is provided with an air introduction hole 73 for removing the remaining raw water by introducing air into the filter medium container 26, a float 46 that goes up and down in accordance with the water level of the filter medium container 26 to open/close the air introduction hole 73, a height setting member 45 disposed at the bottom face of the float 46 to control the vertical moving range of the float 46, and an operation member 42 that can operate the height setting member 45 from the outside of the filter medium container 26.
