PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the supply of a packaging material and/or an additional material and/or an auxiliary material in a production device for a cigarette product and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The official target number (PL) of products is programmed in a main controller (35). The number (PR) of products produced by machines (3-9) at the final stage is retained as a tally and a signal responding to the number together with the amount of consumption of the material is relayed to the main controller (35). The main controller (35) processes an output message indicating the demand of an expendable material, the packaging material or the auxiliary material to be supplied.
