[Also in Divisions G2 and H2] A device for indicating when two parts are in a desired relative position, and particularly for indicating when a vehicle door 12 is closed against the body 11, comprises an optical cable 15 in the door 12, a light source 14 in the body 11 and an indicator such as a lens 16. The light from source 14 may be remote from the appropriate edge of body 11 and be connected thereto by an optical cable 13. In a modification, a motor controlling the relative movement of two members is switched off by a circuit controlled by a photo-cell receiving light when the members reach the desired position. |
