PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a buffer area efficiently. SOLUTION: The recorder comprises a write control section for controlling the write address information of image data in units of area for each color data in order to store the image data in units of divided area in a buffer, a control section generating address information for reading out the stored image data, a section for storing/managing first setting information corresponding to the generated address information and controlling the reading of image data according to the address information in a first register group, a section for reading out data from the buffer based on the stored first setting information and the address information to generate record data, and a section for detecting the scanning position of a head recording the generated record data and controlling the recording position by the scanning position information.
