PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a maintenance equivalent to that of directly operating a control panel installed in a hoistway without being restricted by an installation space at a landing. SOLUTION: When an elevator having the control panel 13 installed in the hoistway 11 for a car 12 is performed, a maintenance tool 20 having a function necessary for the maintenance is connected to a maintenance tool joining connector 15 in a connector box 14 installed at the landing on a specified story. The control panel 13 in the hoistway 11 is remotely operated from the maintenance tool 20 through the maintenance tool joining connector 15 for maintenance. Thus, the maintenance equivalent to that of directly operating the control panel 13 installed in the hoistway can be performed without being restricted by the installation space at the landing.
