PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque wrench equipped with a torque value setting mechanism dispensing with a screw on the inner peripheral surface of a handle member. SOLUTION: The handle member 3 of cylindrical shape of this torque wrench provided inside with a compression spring 8 for setting a torque value; an adjusting nut member 11 on which the rear end of the compression spring 8 abuts; an adjusting screw 9 screwed with the adjusting nut member 11; and a bearing member 16 fixed to the rear end part of a handle member 3 while journaling the rear end part of the adjusting screw 9. The adjusting screw 9 is rotated to linearly move the adjusting nut member 11 in an axial direction to thereby change the spring pressure of the compression spring 8. In this constitution, the bearing member 16 is fixed to the handle member 3 by a pin member, and a hindering member 15 hinders the adjusting nut member 11 from moving backward from a prescribed position.
