PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe reductive aqueous composition used for a cosmetic and processed beverage which is effective for the prevention of aging of a human body. SOLUTION: This reductive aqueous composition having≥4 and <6 pH, exhibiting no oxidation reduction potential (ORP) change with time and having 0-200 mV ORP is obtained by adding cysteine by a very small amount to an aqueous solution. By using the composition as a cosmetic water, inconveniences such as spots, darkness, etc., accompanying with aging phenomena are improved. Also, by using a blood flow accelerating effect of carbon dioxide simultaneously, further excellent improving effect is exhibited. Although cysteine sometimes produces precipitation in the aqueous solution, it becomes possible to prevent the precipitation by simultaneously using an antioxidant or a chelating agent such as ascorbic acid or etidronic acid.
