PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically dropping spherical materials, capable of accurately dropping seeds coated with gel in a short time, without damaging the seeds coated with the gel, regardless of whether the device is used outdoors or indoors. SOLUTION: In this device for automatically dropping the spherical materials having a drum 10 gripped and supported by an A-plate 12 and a B-plate 13, a plate-like elastic arm 27 which is positioned on a bottom surface of a hopper 21 gripping the drum 10 oscillates in the opposite direction while keeping a contact with a part of semicircular arc of the drum 10, when the plate-like elastomeric arm 27 is oscillated by a cam 32 of a C-plate 33 and an oscillating arm 30 in accordance with rotation of the drum 10. Then, each of the seeds 11 coated with the gel is smoothly inserted into a pocket 15 of the drum 10 by the oscillation, since a sliding sheet 35 is positioned on a bottom of the hopper 21 on the drum 10 side. Further, each of the seeds 11 coated with the gel travels to a specified position (a discharge position of a semicircular support disc 14 from which the seed is released), so that the seed 11 drops from the pocket 15 one by one.
