<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure coating device provided with a gravure plate cylinder and a furnisher roller brought into contact therewith, in which sideward splash of coating liquid from the contact part of the cylinder and the roller is eliminated, adhesion of the liquid to end faces and shafts is not caused even in a high-speed operation, and there is no spoilage of surroundings and a material to be coated. <P>SOLUTION: In the gravure coating device, the length L<SB>1</SB>of the plate surface of the rotative gravure plate-cylinder 10, and the length L<SB>2</SB>of the surface of the furnisher roller 20 are almost the same, and the ends 11, 21 thereof are almost aligned with each other.
