<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycrystalline sintered body of a Co-based composite oxide having excellent thermoelectric conversion performance. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a composite oxide sintered body comprises using plate-like crystals of a composite oxide represented by the formula: Ca<SB>2.2-3.6</SB>Na<SB>0-0.8</SB>Sr<SB>0-0.8</SB>Bi<SB>0-0.8</SB>Co<SB>4</SB>O<SB>8.8-9.2</SB>as a raw material, molding the plate-like crystals with the crystal planes being arranged in the same direction, and then sintering the obtained moldings under uniaxial compression. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
