<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the uncontrollable movement of a thermocouple in a balloon and prevent the thermocouple from becoming excessively sensitive to a variation in temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A guide tube 5 is inserted into a catheter body 1. The balloon 2 is installed across the tip part of the catheter body 1 and the guide tube 5. An electrode 3 for high-frequency heating and the thermocouple 4 are disposed in the balloon 2. The electrode 3 is formed in a coil shape, and wound on the guide tube 5. The thermocouple 4 is soldered to the tip of the electrode 3 by a solder 73 in a boundary portion between a first metal wire 71 (14) and a second metal wire 72 (15).
