PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal rolling machine by which positional adjustment of a rolling line and fixing of a housing can easily be carried out with improvement of productivity and reduction of both equipment cost and the maintenance and inspection work. SOLUTION: This universal rolling machine elevates and lowers a housing 18 through reciprocation of a pair of wedges 19, 20 in the direction orthogonal to the pressing direction between a pair of sole plates 16, 17 arranged along the rolling direction with a parallel interval and both the lower ends of the housing 18. A pair of sliding recesses 25 defined by the wedges 19, 20 for sliding horizontally and having respective openings directed outwardly in the horizontal direction are formed in the housing 18. A pair of slanting protrusions 34 protruding horizontally on housing side 18 and having upper and lower slanting faces 37, 38 at upper and lower positions thereof are formed in the sole plates 16, 17.
