PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate sand residue by shaking out sand around a riser by reversing a work bearer and hitting the riser downward. SOLUTION: In a reverse sand shaking-out apparatus for the work for hitting the work 1 molded by casting by a work hitting hammer 3 in a sealed box 2 to shake out the sand adhering on the work 1, the box 2 includes a box body 4 and openable shutters 6, 6 at the top 5 of the body 4. The box 2 is formed by closing the shutters 6, 6. The body 4 includes a reversible work bearer 10 for holding the work 1 therein and the work hitting hammer 3 disposed under the bearer 10. The work 1 to be subjected to shaking-out is held on the bearer 10 by opening the shutters 6, 6. Then, the shutters 6, 6 are closed to form the box 2 and the work held bearer 10 is reversed to direct the work riser 13 downward. The downward work 1 is hit by the hammer 3, and particularly the sand around the riser 13 of the work 1 is particularly shaken out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
