PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fryer capable of frying foodstuffs well in a short time while preventing an increase in running cost. SOLUTION: A motor 8 equipped with a fan 9 on the rotating shaft thereof is fixed through an adapter plate 11 to the outer surface of rear portion of a tank 2 for containing an oil 1. The oil 1 is filled in the tank 2, a heater 3 soaked in the oil 1 is energized to be heated and a fan 9 is driven to rotate by the motor 8, so that the fan motor 8 generates a vibration, which is transmitted to the tank 2 through the adapter plate 11 and further to the oil 1 through the tank 2. The vibrated oil 1 generates forced convection in the tank 2, so that the heat of the heater 3 is efficiently transmitted to the entire oil 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
