METHOD OF MANUFACTURING RECYCLABLE COLORED GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a colored glass where the color of a coloring kind is not left in the glass when the glass is crushed and is remelted as a cullet to prepare the raw material of the glass to be recyclable. SOLUTION: After silver ions are contained by an ion exchange method in a transparent colorless plate glass manufactured with a floating method, when the glass plate is heated at 300°C or higher to a softening point or lower, a bottom face side of the plate glass which is contacted a fused tin at the time of the manufacture by the floating method is colored in light brown to dark brown. If the colored plate glass is heated at the softening point or higher to melt the glass, the glass plate can be recycled since the colored glass plate returns to a transparent colorless one.
