PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that crushed remainder of a rib is generated and impact absorbing efficiency is hard to be improved, in a conventional impact absorbing device. SOLUTION: On the outside surface of a trim body 1, a plurality of impact absorbing ribs 11, 12 are arranged at a generally concentric positions at a specified direction, and adjoined to each other. In the impact absorbing device 10, the outside rib 11 is opened at least a part of an upper side and has opening ends of both sides disposed in right and left outer side than the inside rib 12. The projecting length of the outside rib 11 is made to be longer than the projecting length of the inside rib 12. The ribs 11, 12 are broken and fallen down when absorbing impact, thereby minimizing the crushed remainder. Impact absorbing efficiency is improved without increasing a space in a back side of the trim body 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
