PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for cutting plate glass which can automatically perform the inspection of defects and cutting of the plate glass. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a walking beam 20 for conveying plate glass, a glass take-out apparatus 3 for mounting the plate glass on the walking beam, the first inspection device 5 arranged in the vicinity of the glass take-out apparatus, a positioning device 9 arranged at the upstream end of the walking beam, a scribing device 10 for forming a scribing line in the plate glass, a trimming device 13 and cutting devices 15 and 16 for cutting the plate glass along the scribing line, a plate glass sorting robot 18 arranged at the downstream end of the walking beam, and a controller 21 for controlling the scribing device, the trimming device, the cutting devices and the sorting robot on the basis of the inspection results of the first inspection device and the actuation results of the positioning device.
