The paper clip (1) has a small plate (3) bent around with spring force through 180 degrees, so that one outer end (5) is near to the other outer end (7) or is in contact with it. The small plate has a part (9) bent through 180 degrees, to which two further parts (11,13) connect. The small plate is curved and the curvature of the part bent through 180 degrees is stronger than that of the further parts. The part bent through 180 degrees and the further parts run in a flowing manner, allowing thicker stacks of paper to be clamped than with known clips.
