FIELD: mining; applicable in powered support of breakage faces in mineral underground mining. SUBSTANCE: powered support unit includes hydraulic props, two bases with movable mechanism located between said bases, guard installed on roofing by hinges and connected with bases by means of, at least, two pairs of levers. Levers of one of pairs are interconnected by means of tie-rod whose ends hinged with these levers. Axis of hinged tie-rod with levers may run through common axis of hinges fastening these levers to guard. EFFECT: reduced height of bases and extended range of support use with respect to bed thickness, higher reliability of powered support unit. 2 cl, 4 dwg
