SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making articles with predetermined shape, mass and size due to forming blank in the form of uniform elastoporous metallic base from expanded normalized-mass cut pieces of wire helices; further cold pressing of prepared blanks; forming blank of cut pieces of wire helices made due to joining them to helical strand with the same direction of twisting of one main helix and of N additional helices; successively matching and engaging N times their leading turns and rotating each additional helix relative to lengthwise axis of main helix until matching and engaging their final turns. EFFECT: enhanced technological effectiveness of making blank.
