METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING COATINGS

FIELD: electrolytical processes and apparatuses for removing coatings of articles. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is provided with bath for removing coating at least from one article immersed into electrolytic solution due to washing out at least one article in bath containing washing out solution and with distillation unit for receiving electrolyte and for returning purified electrolyte into bath for removing coating. Method comprises steps of electrochemically removing coating of article; regenerating electrolyte solution by distillation at atmospheric pressure. Invention allows to create apparatus for removing coating with use of feedback control and having incorporated control system of water usage and of secondary using electrolyte. Such apparatus may be used for removing coatings of different type articles, namely of gas turbine aircraft engines.
